Director of E-Commerce & Digital Marketing

About You:

You are an innovative, highly motivated and experienced digital marketer with a strong E-Commerce background.  You know how to make good decisions about digital marketing platforms and systems, and are well versed in digital marketing and ecommerce fundamentals. You are ROI driven, with a penchant for business tracking and quick optimization. You know how to calculate LTV, how to go about improving bounce rate and load speed, can advise on tech stack implementation, and could figure out how to start selling in a foreign market. You’re familiar with a AGILE environment and have no problem keeping up.

What You’ll Do:

  • Establish the vision, strategy and product roadmap for North’s Digital Customer Experience from online acquisition to omnichannel conversion.

  • See beyond the day-to-day and develop strategies to help reach marketing and sales goals, strengthen the North brand, and improve customer experience.

  • Lead digital marketing and acquisition, from strategy to tactical execution.

  • Leverage experience and understanding of both brand and performance advertising to meet business objectives.

  • Clearly articulate and clarify detailed business requirements for engineering teams to deliver solutions.

  • Clearly articulate and clarify detailed business requirements, including wireframing when necessary, for design and UX teams to deliver solutions.

  • Analyze performance, user behaviour and A/B testing data to draw meaningful conclusions and prioritize areas of opportunity to be included in the digital product roadmap.

  • Manage business tracking for ecommerce and digital marketing, including goal-setting and reporting of KPIs.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to review designs, prioritize features, clarify scope, and negotiate trade-offs as required to meet schedule and resourcing challenges.

  • Work directly with Product Marketing to effectively incorporate brand and product positioning and messaging into the various digital touch points. Ensure the digital product roadmap includes features that support and elevate the overall go-to-market strategy.

  • Continually explore new trends, themes, best practices, and patterns, then determine how those should (or shouldn't) be implemented into the North experience.

  • Drive qualified leads to retail, enabling conversion

  • Oversee demand planning and forecasting

What you’ll need:

  • BA or equivalent in Marketing, Communication, or related studies

  • 8+ years of marketing experience

  • 5+ years of marketing operations or program management

  • 5+ years of managing and building teams

  • Superior organization and communication skills

  • A self-starter mindset with the organizational skills to flourish in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and remain flexible through changes

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills with the ability to meet quick deadlines
