About the role
This position will report directly to VP, Data Science. We are looking for an individual with a graduate degree who has analytical and programming skills to turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions.
This role is responsible for:
ü Conducting research and devising study plans to answer questions that are of business interest
ü Collecting, preparing and organizing data that come from various sources
ü Conducting analysis on the data including building models, and feature engineering
ü Interpreting and presenting results to various stakeholders
ü Collaborating with other team members to design and prototype new products based on the findings
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
ü 1-3 years of experience working directly with data analytics or industry experience
ü 1-3 years of experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence
ü Must possess the ability to not only work with data but also to build systems around it
ü Strong data analytical skills and experience with working with large datasets
ü Strong programming experience with statistics packages, such as R, Python, etc.
ü Strong general programming fundamentals
ü Experience in web, mobile application development is a strong asset and preferred for this position
ü Ability to write reports and present findings with great communication skills
ü Ability to work under pressure with a strong time management skill to get work done on time
ü BS degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Engineer, Operations Research or equivalent is required. Graduate degree will be given preference.
