This is a full-time contract position for 14 months.

 About You and the Role

We are shipping more and more orders and are taking on bigger and better contracts. We need someone to help document and streamline our business processes so we can continue to scale.  

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for improving our internal business execution. You will help us improve our processes to improve cycle time, reduce touch points and increase operations throughput. Key activities include process mapping & analysis, improvement identification and change management. You know how to maximize organizational efficiency and productivity. You can adapt to changing directions, priorities and personalities, and you are a world-class juggler/prioritizer of projects and deadlines.

We have a great team of motivated people. However, sometimes when enough of us get together, we do silly and illogical things. You know you can help us improve information and effort utilization through analysis, planning, communication and coaching.

You are a data-driven individual. However, you also know how to balance your desire for data with your hunger to hit deadlines and to make an impact.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Improving operational management systems, processes andcommunications.
  • Reducing touchpoints and error-proofing processes.
  • Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures.
  • Training and coaching team members as a part of change management.
  • Executing on organizational change management.
  • Process mapping and analysis.
  • Reducing sources of human error (error proofing).
  • Concise (to the point) communication.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Consolidating process information as needed.
  • Data collection and analysis, as needed.
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Understanding of organizational change management.
  • Experience in process mapping and improvement.
  • Strong background working with ERP systems (we use Epicor here).
  • You are a deadline-oriented planner and you are dependable
  • You have strong emotional intelligence, communication & negotiation skills.
  • You are a good educator and coach.
  • Bachelor’s degree, in business administration, operations, or project management
  • You have a basic understanding of financial accounting and you understand how operational processes/decisions impact the Company’s financial statements.
  • You are driven by getting results.
