Who are we?

We’re one of Canada’s fastest growing startups (number 23 to be exact!), located in the heart of Kitchener’s tech hub.

We are also TechCrunch Disrupt Champions, one of the most innovative Kickstarter campaigns of all time, and voted one of most brilliant inventions by Popular Science, and now we'll stop bragging... 

We currently work with mostly Fortune 500 companies (name the coolest company you know – they’re likely a Voltera user)! Casual dress codes, office playlists and regular team outings sum up Voltera culture. We value a great work ethic, honesty, a positive attitude and an affinity for being social!

Your role:

The Voltera team, above everything else however values our user experience!

This user experience begins with the very first interaction they have with our front-end sales team and we like to make sure it’s an exemplary one.

Voltera’s recent success has meant that our sales team has been inundated with potential users from all around the world. Whilst this is an exciting time for the Voltera team, it’s also meant that we’ve been stretched quite thin in terms of our bandwidth. We unfortunately haven’t quite successfully met our own standards for user satisfaction…which is where you come in!

Joining our team will involve crushing sales calls, sending sales emails, issuing quotes and chasing up procurement departments. More importantly however, it will require you to build a strong relationship with our users and really get to know and understand their needs as a user.

Our sales and marketing department is still growing, so we're also looking for your advice on growth, sales optimizations and strategies, and general opinions on marketing content.

About you:

  • We're looking for someone with a great sales track record

  • A person who can deal with a variety of buying personas: engineers, academics, representatives from the government and military, purchasing agents and hobbyists

  • Someone who is a fantastic written and oral communicator

  • An individual who can comfortably balance dozens of active conversations with potential users

  • Someone with great attention to detail and can keep track of their prospects. We don’t let anyone slip through the cracks!

  • A self-starter who can work independently without continuous guidance/supervision

  • An outgoing personality who can match the positive and vivacious energy of our sales team

Bonus points if you have worked in a technical sales role before, but if not, teaching people about our industry and sales is a passion of ours.
