Front End Website Developer

As Terminal’s Front End Website Developer, you will be in an unique role - sitting in the Marketing org and building out our website and overall digital strategy, integrating into our backend systems, while also being able to represent the voice of our technical audience. We’re an agile marketing team so are looking for someone that can layout a strategic plan along with consistent release milestones against that vision and can creatively solve for awesome end results. You don’t have to be a production designer, but familiarity with good web design and overall user experience is a major plus. You will be based in one of our Terminal campuses and report to the VP of Marketing who is out of San Francisco.

What You’ll Do - Function

  • You will own Terminal website development and be the in-house expert in all things WordPress and other supporting requirements to ensure we have a high-performing site that is capable of continuously scaling.  

  • You will build and own the overall website release process, working with the rest of Marketing as well as cross-functionally to have a defined pathway for requested updates to be submitted, sized, and for expectations to be set and managed.

  • Along with the VP of Marketing, you will own the job opening/submission process as it pertains to the website so will take over the interchange between our current website and our underlying talent solution system (Salesforce) to improve the user experience

  • You will own Google Analytics to make sure our instance is capturing all of the right things, and that as we scale our go-to-market, that we’re able to report on inbound referral sources and UTMs

  • Along with the Head of Content, you will own all of the technical SEO implementation and optimization of our website

What You Bring - Experience

  • 3-5+ years of experience in software development

  • Expertise with Wordpress

  • Knowledge of SEO and website optimization

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Marketing Automation tools a plus

  • Education or work experience in computer science, web development, and design

  • Up to 10% travel

What You Have - Skill

  • You are super familiar with WordPress, but have experience with other programming code (CSS, PHP, HTML, Javascript) and also know how to work with APIs and other technologies (CDNs).
