Our mechatronics division is in charge of designing the mechatronics base of our robots - this includes mechanical, electrical and low level software (firmware, embedded software). The mechatronics division team is rapidly expanding and we are in need of a technical project manager to lead the management of the different projects in the team.The ideal candidate has strong background in project management and has managed large multidisciplinary projects in the past.
You are passionate about building a great quality product by following the industry’s best practices, design principles and development processes. You also enjoy working with people in a highly driven team. The role will include working with the team leads of the multiple subsystem teams, managing the inter-dependencies between the teams and ensuring that the projects are completed within time and budget. The ideal candidate is technical, highly organized, eager to minimize risk and maximize communication / knowledge-transfer between the subsystem teams.
Develop the project plan and have ongoing monitoring and controlling of projects in the mechatronics division
Manage the documentation, project tracking, risk management and inter dependencies between the sub-teams involved in the project
Develop accurate cross-team project schedules and resource estimates as part of the project planning process
Communicate and maintain critical milestones and timelines to the sub-teams
Report the status of the projects with the other key stakeholders such as manufacturing, service, software and sales teams
Utilize your project management skills and experience to improve existing processes
BSc. or College degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Technology or equivalent
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a technical project management role using PMI methodology
Utilization of software tools such as JIRA, MS project and MS Excel.
Experience working in project management for multidisciplinary technical projects (mechanical, electrical, low-level software)
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, work well with diverse groups of people
