Mechanical Engineering Specialist

We are currently designing the next generation of autonomous cleaning robots that will take over the cleaning industry!

 We are in need of a mechanical engineering specialist to handle existing and new products and to help lead production and of the current generation of self-driving floor scrubber machines. The ideal candidate has been involved in all stages of product development and has shipped quality product. You have worked with industrial and automation systems before and enjoy designing and building a product with quality, manufacturability and reliability. Our mechanical team is expanding and we are looking for someone who can integrate quickly and take ownership of different pieces of manufacturing and product development

 Main Tasks:

  • Concept and create new designs for new and existing products, provide revisions to engineering drawings, models and documentation, and correct problems based off of field and manufacturing feedback.

  • Provide manufacturing engineering support.

  • Identify product/service innovations and develop and implement to meet technical requirements and solutions.

  • Product updates for manufacturing.

  • Produce production documentation and control.

  • Assist with electrical wiring system design and troubleshooting


  • BA.Sc. or college diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent

  • 3+ years Design experience, preferably in automation or robotics, with the ability create, revise and maintain design documentation based on internal and external customer requirements.

  • Familiarity with weldments, sheet metal, machined and molded components, assemblies and drawings.

  • 3+ years Creating drawings and applying, datums, tolerances, GD+T and tolerance stack up analysis for manufacturing and assembly.

  • Hands on experience with building and repairing complex mechanical assemblies

  • Hands on experience with building and troubleshooting electrical systems

  • 3+ years Experience with Solidworks


  • Experienced in manufacturing processes, material selection and design for manufacturability, especially sheet metal, roto-molding, vacuum forming and other plastics processes

  • Experienced designing and building robots

  • Experience designing industrial machines

  • Passionate about bringing robots to the real world
