Operations Manager (14 month contract)

Position Summary

The Operations Manager for our Kitchener Office will be responsible for wearing many hats and jumping in to help the team where needed. Your responsibilities will include human resource management, office management, event planning and finance. You are someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and you aren’t afraid to take on new challenges everyday! Human Resources

  • Benefits Management

  • Assisting with any human resources activities

  • Creating and managing employee files

  • Onboarding and offboarding  

Office Management

  • Ordering office supplies

  • Booking travel

  • Facilitate visitors to the office

  • Facilitate collaboration across our three offices (Kitchener, San Francisco & Phoenix)  

  • Greet and welcome visitors

Event Planning

  • Team Events

  • Community Events

  • External Branding Events

  • Campus Events


  • Monthly account reconciliation

  • Assisting with budget creation

  • Managing cash flow and bank accounts

  • Run and manage payroll and employee expenses  

  • Facilitate SR&ED claim

  • Prepare and distribute financial reports as required

  • Assist the CFO in the year end, including preparing and distributing T4’s


  • 3-5 years of Operations Management experience

  • Undergraduate degree or related work experience

  • Strong knowledge of Human Resource management, Federal and Provincial HR/Compliance requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience working in a fast paced setting

  • Proficiency in a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets, databases, payroll and HRIS platforms

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information

  • Experience working in the tech sector is a plus!
