We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Business Development to help further grow Maplesoft’s engineering business. This is a highly visible role within an innovative company that continues to grow and expand its business base.
In this role you will:
Find, develop and manage new and existing partners.
Identify, assess and grow new business verticals.
Nurture and develop large corporate accounts.
- Build relationships with business partners and potential customers to understand industry needs, customer requirements and quality and service expectations.
- Connect industry trends and market needs with Maplesoft’s technology portfolio in order to create strategic opportunities.
- Be part of team to define, negotiate and close strategic deals
You have a proven track record in managing business relationships and negotiating strategic business deals.
5+ years of well-rounded sales and business development experience in positions of increasing responsibility, with a focus on winning new business.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; Master’s Degree highly desirable.
Experience working in the Engineering industry with a focus on Simulation, Automation, CAD and CAE markets.
Excellent communication skills; solid interpersonal and negotiation skills.
