Enterprise Client Success Manager

Smile.io is looking for a Client Success Manager to join our rapidly-growing Client Experience team. You will be working to help our client base to deliver amazing customer experiences. This position is all about informing and engaging; working with merchants to build successful rewards programs that delight their customers.

As a Client Success Manager, you will support our Enterprise merchants. On the Enterprise team, you will take recently launched clients and work directly with them by phone and email to make recommendations on marketing and customer retention strategies to maximize their success. A desire to create meaningful results and delighted clients is critical to success.

The ideal Client Success Manager is driven to deliver value to our largest clients by acting as their advocate, delivering measurable results and long-term value for both the client and for Smile.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships through effective communication and personal engagement with clients

  • Managing both routine and ad-hoc client success reviews using available data and industry knowledge to maximize results

  • Approaching client situations with curiosity and creativity, focusing on win-win resolutions

  • Working closely with our Data Analyst to uncover at-risk accounts and proactively reach out with an action plan for improvement

  • Solving problems with limited information and/or resources, and ensuring that we can avoid similar problems in the future

  • Closing feedback loops with product design and engineering teams as well as the broader client success team

  • Driving customer references, referrals and case studies from your account base

  • Speaking intelligently about technical things like API, HTML, CSS, and Javascript


  • You've been working in the tech industry for a few years

  • You have 1-3 years of experience in SaaS Account Management or Client Success

  • You can think through problems and prioritize tasks based on their relative importance

  • You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and are able to distill important ideas down to critical information

  • You come up with creative solutions when you encounter roadblocks

  • You really enjoy working with people! About 80% of your time will be spent speaking with clients and coworkers.

  • You're very well organized and don't get overwhelmed when you're juggling a lot of things to do

  • You take complete ownership of your responsibilities and you deliver fantastic results

  • You are self-motivated and and thrive in a fast-paced, technical environment

  • You love eCommerce!

  • Bonus points: You have experience with eCommerce platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce and/or Magento.
