This is an exciting time at Christie. We are transitioning for success and focused on the future. Due to this Christie is experiencing tremendous growth in all of our software development areas as we create solutions that allow our customers to conceive of, and effortlessly deliver, spectacular audio visual experiences. We need a passionate and talented Embedded Software Manager to help us deliver robust, reliable software that is the backbone of these experiences.
We are embarking on major new developments centered on our world leading RGB laser based projection and LED display technologies. Be part of the team that will drive the development of new models that will break the bounds of current display resolution, contrast and colorimetry performance.
At Christie we are transforming the world through innovative hardware and software development. We are pushing the boundaries of the art-of-the-possible in digital cinema, laser illumination, digital visualization environments, and projection mapping applications.
You are an experienced software manager and technical leader who thrives on getting the most from your teams. You are never satisfied with the status quo; you continually look to improve how we work together, how we design, our choice of technology and anything else that can elevate our work. You’re willing to try new things, evaluate what works and discard what does not. You love doing this within the dynamic of a collegial team of self-managed software developers, where process can be improved and dissent is permitted, and consensus building encouraged.
We are looking for a leader who is passionate about leading software development teams. The teams comprise talented, creative and engaged developers and leads who are responsible for embedded, UI, and Web software development. The team you would manage develops using C++ and works primarily on embedded Linux platforms.
In this role you will support and coach these teams to success. You will engage with a broad, cross-functional team including quality assurance engineers, user experience designers, hardware designers and product management. You will promote collaboration among all stakeholders always with the goal of creating our award-winning projectors and a diverse portfolio of other video-related equipment.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a degree in software engineering, computer science or a related field. You’ll bring experience in engineering management and demonstrate strong technical leadership.
