Come join our SAP HANA team and help us create world class web-based tools used by database administrators and application developers.  Our tools support customers throughout the development lifecycle when using SAP HANA.  Developers use our tools to create their own ground breaking applications.  Once the application is deployed our tools help customers monitor their SAP HANA systems, identify potential problems and fix them quickly.


Expectations and Tasks

  • Be an integral member of an agile development team trusted to deliver state of the art web based tooling technologies
  • Design user experiences starting from low fidelity prototypes
  • Implement, revise, and polish your designs to produce a shipping product
  • Focus on software quality, performance, and scalability
  • Build skills implementing browser based user interfaces in Javascript and/or writing server side logic in Javascript and Java
  • Contribute innovative new ideas to shape the product
  • Improve your user experience design skills
  • Gain experience in web application development
  • Build a strong foundation in relational database concepts
  • Work with a group of committed, driven, and talented software developers and architects who are passionate about what they do


Education and Qualifications

  • Graduate with a minimum of a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline

  • Completed degree in the last two years
  • Overall average of 75% including all your university courses
  • Experience working with JavaScript is essential. 
  • Experience with Node.js, Java, and/or C++ is an asset
  • Experience developing on Windows and/or Linux
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to take on an end-user’s perspective and become a representative for our customers in your everyday work
  • Significant hobby programming experience (including hackathons and programming contests) is an asset
  • Experience with database systems is an asset
  • Must be able to work onsite in Waterloo, Canada
