Electrical Design Simulation Lead

Job Description

We are looking for someone to help us design and develop electronics systems for professional video projection systems. You would be a key member of the development team working on the next generation of the brightest and highest resolution projectors in the world. You will bring a strong desire to support the larger team in developing and delivering high quality board designs.

You will drive our capability in circuit design analysis, simulation and PCB layout.  From initial design, you will perform detailed board level simulations using the latest tools: Quantum channel designer, Hyperlynx Line and BoardSim.  You will be our in-house simulation expert and provide analysis and simulation for all of our critical high speed digital designs.  You will also lead a small PCB Layout team, establishing board design practices, managing priorities and ensuring quality of results.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering 
  • 10+ years of experience in electronics and PCB design
  • Experience in driving design processes for schematic capture and PCB layout (Cadence and Mentor tools)
  • Expertise and passion for SerDes, PCB and schematic simulation tools and design processes (Quantum channel designer, Hyperlynx Line and BoardSim)
  • Desire to adopt industry leading processes for board level simulation
  • Experience in digital design using the latest in FPGA and memory technologies
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a focus on process improvements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
