What you’ll do

The  Senior Product Manager at Sortable is responsible for owning the product lifecycle from strategic planning to launch. You’ll be challenged with diving in and getting up to speed quickly in our industry of content publishing and digital advertising. Doing so will enable you to develop a brilliant product strategy that is shaped by market trends, customer needs, and immediate business opportunities. You will:

  • Lead our team of Technical Product Managers, supporting their growth and development

  • Improve product management processes, introduce new process, and be an advocate for using these processes

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, demand, customer success and the executive team

  • Analyze the competitive landscape to identify new product ideas and apply the data from your market research to navigate the best path forward

  • Consolidate and explore product ideas and assess their alignment to product strategy

  • Monitor the execution of  projects and provide progress updates as needed to stakeholders

Requirements/what it takes

We want you to feel comfortable with your application. Below are some of the skills and experience that will be looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering or Computer Science

  • 5+ years in a product management role

  • 1+ years leading a product team or equivalent experience

  • Strong communication, presentation skills, and ability to develop sound business cases

  • Comfortable with ambiguity as is common in companies that are scaling

  • Ability to get results on multiple concurrent priorities

  • Track record of turning ideas into revenue-generating products

Bonus points and nice to have qualities

  • Experience in ad operations from both the buy and sell sides

  • Past experience with the digital advertising ecosystem (display ads, video ads, native ads, mobile app ads, PPC ads)

  • Certified Product Owner

  • Confident using JIRA in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban)

  • 2+ years as a people manager
