We are a software consultancy and development firm based in Waterloo, Ontario. We create highly polished web and mobile apps for startups, scale-ups, and enterprise clients. Our team are specialists in .NET (4.7 and CORE 2), Node and PHP programming languages with acute detail to front end Javascript and Javascript libraries such as Angular, React, and Vue. Complemented by Swift (iOS) and Java (Android) from our mobile team. We are constantly evolving to ensure we deliver an exceptional customer experience and that we are always improving.

Who we are looking for:

Coretec is looking for a driven Marketing & Business Development Associate with a background in marketing who is also excited to learn about B2B technology sales. This is a hybrid role designed for an ambitious individual with a growth mindset willing to contribute to the creative direction and momentum of the company.  

You’ll focus on finding new customers through modern marketing practices, establishing Coretec as a trusted business partner, premium service provider and community leader, while building lead gen efforts and helping to develop customer relationships.

As a Marketing & Business Development Associate you will:

  • Create content and outreach campaigns to fuel demand generation at early stages of the funnel including: case studies, blog posts, tweets, website content, podcast scripts and more.

  • Review content in collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure consistency of voice, tone and messaging.

  • Manage Coretec’s brand personality, and ensure it is consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice.

  • Keep up to date on industry, business and technology news to ensure content reflects current trends and topics that will resonate with our target audience.

  • Participate and represent Coretec at events including tech conferences, meetups, speaking events, etc.

  • Identify, Prospect and Develop relationships with new customers in collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing

  • Forecast sales activity, revenue achievement, and analyze marketing results

  • Travel occasionally for conferences and customer meetings

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Superior writing skills

  • 3+ years in B2B marketing and/or sales

  • Solid understanding of marketing practices and programs

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Willingness to learn about managing a complex sales-cycles, from business champion to CEO/CTO level decision makers

  • Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Experience with commonly used sales tools

  • Willingness to be creative, try new things, and take informed risks

  • Friendly, positive attitude
