About You

As the first point of contact for Palette, you’re a great communicator who can identify with creatives looking to improve their editing workflows. You're passionate about providing excellent customer service and are happiest when turning challenging experiences into surprise and delight. Comfortable speaking with influencers, press and the general public, you can parlay your own creative interests, and technological know-how, into meaningful examples.  Finally, you're not afraid to dig in to the technical aspects of Palette Gear—with some help from our team, of course.


You will assist with community management and marketing initiatives including influencer management and PR. You will be part of a small team with lots of opportunities for growth and learning;no two days will ever be the same! Some examples of tasks include:

  • Respond to, triage, and escalate customer support tickets.

  • Lead our community social media efforts including content creation, outreach and response.

  • Facilitate the Palette Influencer and Ambassador program:

    • Reach out to qualified candidates

    • Vet and reply to inbound requests

    • Track content generated and analyze results

  • Create 1-4 emails a month to a strategically segmented list of our potential and existing users and maintain automated follow-ups.

  • Draft press releases, reach out to press, and reply to inbound inquiries.

Preferred skills & expertise

  • Formal education and 1 to 2 years previous experience in marketing, public relations,  community management or social media

  • Exceptional writing skills; feel free to share any work you might have!

  • Self-driven independent; able to formulate strategies and prioritize tasks with minimum supervision

  • Proficient at creative thinking; generate social media content and grow the community organically

  • Passionate about the creative professions and an aptitude for explaining new technologies simply

  • Able to effectively communicate complex and technical concepts to a broad audience

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in the creative fields of photography, videography, or music production

  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS

  • Graphic design abilities
