As a trusted member of the Measurement Sciences Division, the Technical Account Manager (TAM) will work collaboratively within a technically oriented sales team to support NDI’s instrument revenues on a global basis.  The TAM will demonstrate their ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships with customers and provide technical and commercial support to maintain, integrate, and/or otherwise adopt 3D tracking.  The TAM will play an essential role in contributing to NDI’s sales revenues by understanding and supporting their customers’ business environment, challenges, and objectives.

We are looking for a well-rounded, results-oriented individual with the ability to architect and execute effective sales and marketing initiatives targeting both end customers and OEM clientele.  As a TAM, you will possess demonstrated skills in key account management and a proven ability to position technically differentiated products within a competitive marketplace. You will coordinate resources and communicate effectively by working in cross-functional teams to anticipate and resolve clients’ technical problems in a timely manner.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Direct and coordinate activities involving the sale of optical and/or electromagnetic tracking solutions into research, and/or simulation marketplaces emphasizing customer-centric, solution-based sales techniques
  • Manage OEM account, resellers, and key strategic end customers
  • Collaborate with global partners, resellers, and inside sales professionals to develop, refine, and execute key account strategies
  • Provide trusted, unbiased, and timely technical advice on measurement and/or tracking solutions that meet customer needs (consultative selling)
  • Work as a dynamic team with Applications Engineering Support to develop and perform sales presentations and product demonstrations for key accounts
  • Prepare and track sales quotations and proposals within NDI’s CRM for the purpose of segment revenue forecasting and production planning
  • Educate regional markets on the benefit/cost relationship of NDI and partner products and services including NDI’s existing value-added reseller network
  • Increase customer satisfaction by addressing a diverse set of customer issues related to pricing, logistics, and service
  • Monitor and analyze industry adoption trends, as well as competitor activities as key inputs into the product development roadmap
  • Coordinate and represent NDI at customer, partner, and trade association events to promote Life Science and Simulation solutions

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ related experience selling high tech capital goods to a sophisticated customer base
  • Progressive experience in key account management within one or more of the following functional customer groups:
  • Medical Device OEMs
  • Clinical Research Organizations
  • Industrial Metrology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A keen focus on customer and partner satisfaction
  • Proven relationship building skills and problem-solving acumen
  • Direct experience working within the medical, simulation and/or motion capture communities
  • Experience using advanced 3D tracking systems
