What you’ll do
Sortable is looking for a self-starting Test Strategist who can achieve results in an Agile development environment. You will be the communicator, the evangelist, the champion for testing and QA at Sortable. You will work with our Scrum development teams and technical product managers to assess our development work and identify key areas where our testing efforts should be focused. Our goals are to develop a test culture, increase developers’ velocity by cutting the time required to write tests, and improving the quality of our product. You will:
Advocate for testing and quality practices during sprints, stand ups, backlog grooming, and other meetings
Identify high-risk areas in our projects and features and work with developers to address
Build tests to ensure we are always improving product performance
Build frameworks to enable automation, continuous integrations, and continuous delivery
Create robust, maintainable automation suites to monitor the quality of our products
Collaborate to create specific acceptance criteria that will drive the teams’ sprint efforts
Requirements/what it takes
This role isn’t for everyone, and that’s ok! We want you to be comfortable with your application, so we’re going to outline some requirements we’ll have to see in successful candidates.
5+ years of experience software testing in a team setting
Experience with automated testing tools
Experience contributing to testing/QA strategy and methodology
Knowledge of web applications and their supporting infrastructure
Experience testing in a Linux development environment
Bonus points and nice to have qualities
