Job Title:

Research Scientist, Computer Vision and Image Processing

Job ​Duties:

Conduct research, design, and analysis of Machine Learning based solutions.

Use signal processing methods and algorithms to transform and extract useful information.

Use programming skills to implement methods and algorithms.

Core Requirements:

PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years work experience in Machine Learning and Signal Processing or related fields.

Deep understanding of Machine Learning and Statistical Modelling, Image Processing, Computer Vision, and Probabilistic Graphical Models.

Experience with Deep Learning and associated frameworks such as Convolutional Neural Network (CNN).

Experience with sensor fusion (ie. multi-sensor processing).

Experience in the use of statistical analysis and machine learning tools, packages and languages (for example, Python, Matlab, or R).

End-to-end model and classifier development experience (ie. collect, develop, test, implement) for various applications.

Excellent coding skills in C/C++. Knowledge of a range of other languages and environments is a plus.

Familiarity with Linux OS, command line and shell scripts.

Excellent problem solving, communication, and team work skills.

Demonstrated ability to work and deliver in a high-pressure environment.

Additional Qualifications:

Strong publication record.

Embedded Software Engineering experience. 

Experience with different sensors such as Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity, Infrared Camera, and ToF (Time of Flight).

Prior work experience at a software start-up.
