Program Consultant, Strategy Innovation

As a part of our Strategy Execution Office, the Strategy Innovation team is currently looking to hire three (3) Program Consultants in the areas of:


Digital Innovation,

Continuous Improvement and Change Innovation,

and Systems Innovation.


The selected candidate will take on a highly visible role working with Client Development and Operations teams to manage internal and client-facing programs and projects that support the continued success and growth of our Employee Support Solutions (ESS) business.


As a Program Consultant within Strategy Innovation, you will need to be;

  • A prioritization master; you’re comfortable  independently managing multiple competing priorities because you ask for clarity when needed and you’re skilled at identifying and frequently  assessing impact and dependencies

  • A facilitator with heart; you’re willing to learn, share and apply new methodologies and are open to adjusting your communication and presence depending on the needs of your client

  • A brave tinkerer; you have the courage to discover and dive into new approaches, systems, technologies  and can find a way to connect and apply them to your work;

  • An empathizer; you listen to listen - because it helps you better understand the needs of your client and in turn, makes you better at what you do


And we’ll ask you to use and build on;

  • Your university degree (e.g., in Business, Communications, Social Sciences etc.) and/or additional certifications (e.g., PgMP, PMP, Scrum Master, Green belt Certification etc.) combined with experience supporting people, business and process management

  • Your 5+ years of experience managing projects, programs and contributing to a strategy and/or innovation portfolio; from concept and discovery, business case development, budget forecasting and management through to program launch protocols

  • Your experience and openness to use principles and techniques within Design Thinking, idea Crowdsourcing, Lean Start-up, Lean Six Sigma and Agile

  • Your expertise using traditional office software (e.g., MS Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint) and your experience and/or willingness to learn new visualization software.

  • Your built-in and intrinsic sense of urgency; you know successful innovators don’t simply take time – they use time effectively

  • Your professional disposition, discretion and maturity when exposed to sensitive or confidential information

  • Your flexibility to adapt to the needs of the work which may include some travel (approx. 15%) to other offices and some peak periods where work volume may temporarily increase

  • Develop, manage, influence and drive program roadmaps to align with our business lifecycle; develop business cases, manage initiative budgets, develop and report on performance metrics, create and commit to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

  • Identify problems, challenges and opportunities and use a variety of different tools, methodologies and styles to move ahead to problem-solving and resolution phases

  • Consult, influence, support and collaborate across departments and business functions including, but not limited to, Client Development, IT and Operations
