Position Summary:

Sortable is looking for a Senior Publisher Consultant,  to work within one of the smartest and most dedicated teams in the Canadian ad tech industry. As a member of the Publisher Consultant division, your focus will be to successfully source, secure, and onboard new digital publishers by understanding their unique needs, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate will bring their immense knowledge of the industry, and tier-1 relationships, to help achieve Publisher Consultant revenue targets.

This is a highly visible, customer-facing role, where building trusted relationships with publishers and marketers is essential to success.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Meet and exceed quarterly/annual revenue targets, business KPI’s and strategic objectives.

  • Provide market insights to identify potential business opportunities and partnerships.

  • Actively drive and manage prospective clients technology evaluation, using  knowledge of the business environment and competitive programmatic landscape to make informed and logical recommendations.

  • Participate and co-support the implementation of the Sortable platform with new publishers and manage through to successful completion of trial phase.

  • Effectively manage the customer relationship, ensuring smooth transition of accounts to post-sale Account Management teams

  • Negotiate commercial terms, and get customers to say YES

  • Represent Sortable at industry events, associations, and be an ambassador of our business at all times.

 Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of consultative sales and business development experience, selling online publishers and/or SSP/DSP or similar customers at an intermediate or senior level.

  • An exceptional track-record of achieving and exceeding set revenue targets.

  • An in depth understanding of the programmatic advertising landscape (ad server, header-bidding, ad network, exchange, SSP, DSP, agency trading desk, PMP, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex business challenges and apply creativity and problem solving to meet client needs.

  • Manage real-time progress on clients to understand their business goals and challenges, and to generate opportunities to work together.

  • Constantly challenge status quo to drive maximum value for clients, and partners

  • Detailed account management duties, including:

  • Forecasting

  • Strategic Account Planning

  • CRM & Sales Pipeline Management

  • Project Management

Senior level relationships with North American publishers

Ability to handle heavy workload, mediating demands and requests with strong problem solving drive.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and confidence in presenting ideas with impact.

Ability to use data, research and insights to justify recommendations.

Must have great interpersonal skills, team builder and team player; an ability to relate professionally within all levels of the organization

Diploma/degree, post-grad certification in Media, Advertising, or Commerce an asset.

Tools of the Trade

  • Proficient with Google Apps and Microsoft Office software.

  • Prior SaaS/software sales experience

  • Prospecting and CRM (Salesforce) experience

  • In depth knowledge of online advertising industry and products
