The Business Strategist will work with our Founder closely on all sales activities and business development, including process improvement, lead generation and growth strategy. Borealis Wind is currently releasing their pilot system and working with early customers. This is an opportunity to develop growth strategies for a start up company at a critical stage where it is about to raise and scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Generate leads within the North American wind market
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Account management, with a focus on building enduring client relationships
  • Strong people leadership; develop sales team, ensuring high performance

Qualifications:

  • BComm/BSc/BA/MBA in business administration, sales or relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
  • Knowledge of the wind industry in North America and globally
  • Proven successful sales track record Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software, experience with Salesforce an asset
  • Possesses excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship builder and able to build rapport both internally and externally
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Customer support experience considered an asset
  • Able to travel within North America
