Marketing Specialist

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing programs
  • Support sales activities through development and implementation of marketing collateral, marketing campaigns, targeting, collection of market data, promotional activities and product training/education
  • Source and manage suppliers for production of marketing collateral and promotional material
  • Conduct market intelligence activities including monitoring industry landscape for insight and innovation (competition, relevant clinical publications, industry changes, etc.)
  • Plan, implement and manage logistics for tradeshows and marketing events
  • Generate content and implement SEO strategies for social media channels
  • Develop metrics to monitor success of marketing initiatives, promotional activities and marketing campaigns
  • Actively identify and work with the marketing team to develop new marketing strategies based on trends and insights

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Degree in Marketing or Business
  • 3+ years of professional marketing experience
  • Relevant work experience in health care marketing (preferably in medical devices, life sciences or pharmaceuticals)
  • Understanding of and proficiency with marketing tools like; Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office, Adobe In-Design, Photoshop, etc.

Nice-to-have:

  • Clinical/technical marketing/selling experience
  • Experience in communications and PR
  • Experience in graphics and web design

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Adaptable to various duties as necessary in a start-up environment including the ability to work on multiple projects of varied size, duration and scope and ability to prioritize activities
