The Opportunity: 

This position involves being part of a dynamic team environment responsible for designing, developing and supporting software solutions to meet business requirements in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Customer Support and Services.  You will be part of a team developing applications using a range of technologies, including OpenText TeamSite.


You are great at: 

  • Working with internal customers to gather requirements and develop software using the TeamSite product suite
  • Designing and developing TeamSite templates, components, and workflows
  • Defining project tasks, estimates, and timelines
  • Interacting with Business representatives to ensure their requirements are being met
  • Performing maintenance programming and correction of defects
  • Participating in the full software development lifecycle (requirements, design, code, unit test, implementation)
  • Adhering to IT Change Management and best practices
  • Investigating and fixing advanced (3rd level) application issues

 

What it takes: 

 

  • A bachelor’s degree, College diploma or equivalent experience 
  • 6+ years of development experience using the J2EE framework
  • 3+ years of developing sites using TeamSite product suite
  • Front-end development experience building out UI for apps (ex: XML, HTML, JS, CSS or jQuery)
  • Search engine familiarity
  • An aptitude to learn new technology quickly 
  • Effective documentation skills and excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • The ability to handle multiple streams of work effectively 
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft .NET framework (asp.net, vb.net, C#) would be considered an asset
