What We’re Building
Designware is an editing platform for the creation of apps and websites. This isn’t your average webpage or e-commerce solution; our mission is to enable easy assembly of fully-customized digital products and platforms, in a creative workflow free of all coding. It’s Photoshop for software applications.
You will be joining Designware at a pivotal moment in our journey. We’re gearing up to finalize our product with a waitlist of new users — from startups to multinationals — who are looking to us to disrupt the limitations of how their software is created. We need someone who can come in, deliver at a high level and help us get there faster. You’ll be trusted and relied on as a key contributor to the development of the product.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Developer, you’re experienced when it comes to delivering production level code. You develop at an advanced level and require minimal oversight and guidance to complete your responsibilities.
You have a proven track record on projects, both large and small, with varying contributor sizes. You’re comfortable being trusted, while empowering others, to make the right decisions during the development cycle.
You’re able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Writing design documents and working through product requirements and estimations feels like second nature.
You’ll report to the CPO (who leads the development team) and will work alongside the CTO to deliver on the company’s exciting and ambitious goals. You’ll also help to mentor and guide the development team.

We are a small, agile team based in Kitchener-Waterloo and Hong Kong, with a growing international clientele built on an ethos of enabling any user’s skill level, language, and budget. We’re funded through global investors and revenues.
Our staff have cross-disciplinary skillsets, and are exceptional fits for a culture of learning, collaborating, and laughs. We try to see everything from the user’s discerning point of view, requiring an absence of assumption and a hyper-sensitivity for detail. If we’re not continuously pushing the boundaries of what’s technically and creatively possible, we’re not doing our jobs.
As an equal opportunity employer, we value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
