Working within the Human Resources team, this role will offer intermediate level HR support. This position requires an individual who will demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and independence with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The individual must have the ability to multi-task and adapt to change in a fast paced dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Support global mobility requirements including business travel visas, permanent relocation assistance, work permit applications etc.

  • First point of HR contact to assist with employee inquiries ensuring appropriate follow-up and responsiveness. (ie. managing the HR inbox)

  • Create & maintain reports to update senior leadership and other key stakeholders on key performance indicators

  • Leverage the HRIS to provide data and insight on various aspects including turnover metrics etc.

  • Provide advice, guidance and assistance to management and employees regarding the interpretation of Company policies

  • Identify solutions to simplify, automate and improve processes, HR initiatives, policies etc.

  • Manage and maintain the HR shared drive and other HR systems

  • Create content for HR’s contribution to monthly Terminal newsletter 

  • Define and document HR processes in order to provide consistent, efficient and effective support to the business

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices

  • Support the annual performance management process for all employees

  • Participate in various Human Resources initiatives and projects in support of Company goal, including providing HR support for other Terminal expansion areas (eg. Mexico)

  • Support the administration of HR related programs such as policy and procedure development and implementation

What You Bring

  • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Human Resources would be an asset

  • Minimum 4+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience required (preferred experience in a technical environment)

What You Have

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of employment legislation across provinces

  • Strong customer service, relationship building & problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently while exercising mature judgment and decision-making

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and organizational skills

  • Unrivaled attention to detail & an analytical mindset is a must

  • Strong technical skills are required (Excel, G-Suite etc)

  • Project Management skills would be an asset
