Role Overview- Automation Developer
The Automation Developer will join a skilled team devoted to providing excellence in software testing and validation, ensuring quality products and services are provided to our customers. Working closely with the Development team, the position will be responsible for creating, executing and automating test suites across our product portfolio.
What you will be responsible for:
The Automation Developer will be responsible for the design, creation, maintenance, documentation, execution and reporting of automated test suites and tools. This includes feature, regression and system-level testing using APIs and test harnesses. In addition, the candidate will also be responsible for the design, implementation and support of our test automation framework and infrastructure.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years’ experience in a Quality Assurance position
- 3+ years of experience with one or more scripting languages in a Linux environment (Python, Perl)
- Thorough understanding of software architecture and design principals
- Experience in creating, executing and documenting test cases
- Ability to design, create and maintain automated test suites
- Strong background in designing, implementing and supporting test automation frameworks and infrastructure
- Networking (TCP/IP) knowledge
- Experience with automating security and performance testing is an asset
