This is an exciting new role within ApplyBoard, so if you are driven by creating, building and driving impactful change, then read on. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Human Resources, the L&D Manager will be championing all onboarding and training. Serving as a liaison between HR and the rest of the company, the L&D Manager will work with all business units to strategize, develop, and execute onboarding and training processes to fill learning gaps and align talent management with ApplyBoard’s business goals.
As a key resource, you will work with stakeholders to understand and document the diverse learning and training needs for their independent business units. From there you would evaluate training needs, identify gaps, objectives and then develop learning strategies and training plans. We are a data-driven company and reporting and analysis will be an important component of your overall role.
What Success Look Like:
What success will look like will be determined through collaborative discussions with the Associate Director of Human Resources as well as your key stakeholders. Success will be determined by fulfilling your internal customers' needs. What we do know is that one of the critical litmus tests will be how quickly new hires are embedded into their functional areas, how well-equipped they are to fully understand the resources and tools available to them, and how well employees understand the individual business units and the interdependencies to achieve success.
What you Bring to the Table:
You’re a true professional and come with 4-6 years of experience supporting an organization from senior tech executives to individual contributors. You take accountability for your work, you care about those around you, and best-in-class customer service is always top of mind. Just as importantly, you can laugh at yourself and you bring a fun and energetic attitude to the team. You work extremely well under pressure, move a million miles a minute, and understand how startups and their executives work. When it comes to work ethic, you get things done on an individual level from start to finish and easily collaborate across offices and departments when needed.
You also bring:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
- Deep understanding of Adult Learning Principles
- Proven experience with LMS selection, implementation and management
- Experience in Learning & Development in a corporate or business environment
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Documented experience building a learning curriculum from the ground up
- Strong understanding of the concept of Emotional Intelligence and the impact it has on individuals growth and success
- Ability to work periodically outside of regular office hours in order to accommodate global time zones
