OCAS is seeking a proven, confident and creative leader and professional to join its highly engaged and fun-loving team as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, your creative insights, professional expertise and commitment will have a profound and long-lasting impact on the future and shape of OCAS, the college sector, and the lives of thousands each year. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the core Executive Team, you will oversee and manage all corporate financial operations and functions of OCAS – from day-to-day aspects of accounting, budgeting, and reporting - to the more creative, innovative and long-term elements of strategic business planning, analysis, modelling, forecasting, risk management, equity financing and treasury – as well as potential new and evolving portfolios in the future. As CFO, you will lead the Governance, Risk and Compliance Team, and serve as Chief Privacy Officer, as well as Secretary of the Board of Directors on all corporate matters. As a leader, you will mentor your team to champion positive change, continuous innovation and improvement, organizational and operational excellence, and accountability as OCAS continues to define What Does Tomorrow Look Like?
Candidates will have relevant academic and professional credentials (a CPA designation is mandatory) and a proven record of achievement in a similar senior role accountable for leading the financial and corporate/administrative affairs (and all the important fiduciary, legal and regulatory “stuff”) within a public, non-profit or private sector organization. A demonstrated ability to work with/report to Boards and Audit committees is important. Not to be mistaken as an “average bean-counter”, you are known for your polished presence, collaborative and consensual management style, superb communication skills, eye for detail and precision, solid smarts and judgement, personal and professional integrity and ability to assess and mitigate risk, identify problems, seek and find creative solutions, while earning and building trust and great relationships at all times.
