Job Description – Business Development & Marketing Representative

Reports To: General Manager

FleetCarma, established in 2007, is a growing technology company providing a unique connected car platform focused on electric vehicles that helps green the transportation sector. Our key customers are fleet operators interested in or already using electric vehicles, fleet management and leasing companies, researchers, and electric utilities.  The ideal candidate for the business development and marketing representative position will be joining the team to further develop and execute an aggressive revenue growth strategy with our core customer groups.  This includes:


  • Supporting lead generation and qualification activities
  • Managing and supporting the execution of FleetCarma’s tradeshow strategy
  • Managing competitive intelligence generation and education internally
  • Managing traditional marketing initiatives including media relations
  • Managing FleetCarma brand awareness and brand equity metrics
  • Helping deliver inspiring marketing messages and experiences to target customers
  • Supporting the marketing team in developing collateral for events and online content

Success in this role means:

  • Managing the execution of 3 conferences/tradeshows/roadshows a quarter (US and EU)
  • Tracking industry news and reaching out to new leads when projects are announced
  • Delivering on key marketing metrics to support sales team needs
  • Prospecting 80+ leads per quarter – from both inbound and outbound marketing
  • Converting 20+ sales qualified leads per quarter

Job qualifications:

  • A driven, results-oriented individual with good time management
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communications skills
  • 1 to 3 years of previous sales and marketing experience considered an asset
  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in business, environmental studies, engineering and/or related field, with relevant graduate degree considered an asset
  • Interest in electric vehicles and green technology considered an asset

Working conditions:

  • Full-time availability is required for this position, with the need to travel to exciting destinations approximately 20% - 25% of the time (typically 1 week per month)
