TRAINING AND DOCUMENTATION SPECIALIST

Responsible to the Customer Development Manager for creating and delivering training programs and materials in support of Retail Applications systems and services.

Establish expert-level knowledge of Retail Application products and how the software is used in the field.

Create high quality training programs and training materials that meet operational needs.

Plan, design and develop end-user documentation resources in line with project deliverables based on industry and technological standards, to be used in the implementation of Retail Applications software and services, and for ongoing training and reference materials, including eLearning materials.

Produce instructional material/content/resources for distribution through multiple formats: blended learning (online and face-to-face), digital, videos, and webinars.

Develop and maintain the project document library, intranet and overall reference material information architecture to ensure up-to-date information.

Train and support Retail Applications Staff Members through training programs and training materials.

Manage the training requirements for multiple projects from software development to implementation.  Create software release notes and store communications.

Provide remote training for store staff as necessary.  Present product demonstrations for Dealer/Owners and store staff where required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

College/University diploma or degree related to business and/or accounting.  Education and/or experience with adult learning or training.

Strong communication skills with excellent presentation skills.  Ability to write clear, concise training materials.

Proven self-starter and excellent team player.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines. 

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with a focus on achieving results.

Experience with Home Hardware Stores operations and retail environment is preferred.

Experience with Microsoft products including NAV, CRM and Office is beneficial.

Written and verbal communication skills in French would be an asset.
