Avidbots is bringing robots to everyday life to expand human potential. Its first product to deliver on this vision is Neo - the world's smartest self driving floor scrubber for large floor spaces such as airports, retail malls, healthcare, universities/colleges, commercial and industrial facilities, etc. Neo is trusted by a growing list of the most discerning facilities around the globe.

This opportunity will work directly with the Controller and is responsible for the day to day operations in the accounting department. Highlights would include managing accounts receivable and the general ledger to preparing financial statement reporting packages, improving ERP system functionality and utilization. We are a small team, but we move fast and help each other out. Direction may change quickly and you will need to operate with ambiguity, but we will do everything we can to make this successful.

Specific Accountabilities:

- Manage the accounts receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, cheque runs and wire transfer processe

- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close

- Monthly analysis of revenue and expenses to ensure recorded appropriately

- Preparing and entering journal entries which include correcting entries, allocating expenditures, accruals, etc.

- Preparation of monthly reporting packages – both for internal and external stakeholders

- Monthly account reconciliations - both completing complex reconciliations as well as acting as first level review for certain account reconciliations; while preparing accruals and reclass entries as needed

- Develop more efficient accounting and finance procedures and use of resources, while maintaining a high level of accuracy of HST/GST tax filings

- Support cash forecasting and management activities as needed

- Perform subsidiary accounting  by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies and maintaining subsidiary books

- Assist in annual audit by preparing working papers and assisting auditors with data collection

- Improve overall company systems and procedures, including improving upon existing software as required (expense reporting, travel management, etc.)

- Develop, maintain, monitor and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure accurate reporting



- Post-secondary completion in a financial discipline with an accounting designation (CPA) is mandatory

- A minimum of 5+ years’ relevant experience, ideally including manufacturing and/or technology

- Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt with a high degree of accuracy to work with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements

- Willing to take initiative and be proactive; able to determine next steps and problem solve with limited direction

- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and collaborate on financial projects

- Superior knowledge of Excel, reporting tools, and ERP Systems; Epicor ERP experience a strong asset
