In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for successful project productionization by coordinating proactive change and release management and communication plans and strategies. Working closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) Business Analyst and the Data and Reporting Services (DRS) team, the Specialist will create and implement release management action plans for BI projects to production.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop change and release management framework that governs project productionization process.

  • Leverage change and release management tools and methodologies to ensure effective stakeholder engagement.

  • Plan and facilitate meetings with key contributors and stakeholders to inform and execute change management and communication strategies.

  • Oversee development and implementation of training materials and maintenance procedures associated to the project outcomes.

  • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management activities including communications, documentations, testing, and sign offs.

  • Identify potential risks and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the risks.

  • Work with project teams to integrate productionization activities into the overall project plan.

  • Manage and support frequent ‘uptake’ assessments – what’s working, what’s not.

  • Manage the monitoring and evaluation of the change (i.e. is the product doing what is expected? Are the people using the product as intended?)

Your Skills and Experience

  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working on organization change initiatives as a change management specialist or project coordinator

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, large workloads and multitask effectively

  • Ability to solve complex problems and build relationships

  • ITIL v3 certification is an asset

  • Experience in business intelligence, DB, SQL, Cognos, and SAS is a major asset

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
