Web Content Specialist

eConverse Media provides web design and community management services to the association industry. With clients all over the world, every day is a little different and very fast paced. Located in the heart of downtown Kitchener, eConverse is in it's tenth year and we're busier than ever. We have a casual work environment where everyone is encouraged to “brain jam” on projects, lots of coffee, an office dog and flexible work hours. 

We are looking for a Web Content Specialist to join our team. You’ll be responsible for migrating and updating client web content while working alongside the Digital Project Manager for guidance and timelines. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivator with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn. You’re a team player with the ability to communicate confidently and clearly with a variety of stakeholders. 


Onsite/Interview - Small HTML basics competency test


  • Practice outstanding organization and prioritization skills 

  • Build interior web pages and migrate (or update) client website content

  • Use semantic HTML markup for SEO and accessibility compliance

  • Review all pages to ensure websites are accurate, accessible and user-friendly

  • Track new and existing web pages that need to be updated

  • Communicate directly with clients to request information in a timely fashion

  • Assist on website/mobile testing and QA

  • Create initial draft documentation for site inventories, content maps, etc.

  • Additionally, the Content Coordinator will:

    • report to the Digital Project Manager,

    • support the Executive Director and VP of Design where needed,

    • participate in team meetings and project updates,

    • help with other duties as assigned.


  • Experience using a content management system (Wordpress, Drupal, etc.)

  • Willingness to learn a new Content Management System

  • Basic web design/code knowledge (HTML/CSS/JS) 

  • Great communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Bonus points:

    • knowledge of Basecamp or a similar project management tool,

    • understanding of WCAG 2.1 principles,
