Our team consists of NASA award-winning developers, Earth observation scientists, big data and unicorn startup veterans who have worked at companies like Facebook, IBM, and Cisco and who come from five of the seven continents. Our leadership team includes the Chair of Canada’s first Space Accelerator for startups, an Earth observation/geospatial big data veteran who has scaled multiple companies through IPOs, a planetary robotics graduate from the International Space University, and a petabyte-scale data leader with patents in location AI and contextual analytics. We are Techstars ‘16 NYC and Google for Entrepreneurs alumni.  We have a unique blend of space/satellite authorities and consumer application veterans. And we are just getting started. The sky is literally the limit here.

Every day, hundreds of trillions of pixels of our planet are captured from space and the number of sensors observing our planet is growing exponentially. With this explosion of data comes new applications across precision farming, construction planning, disaster relief operations, and retail revenue prediction (to name a few), and the demand for satellite imagery is growing exponentially. However, getting access to many of these catalogues is expensive, tedious and time-consuming and beyond the reach of the average developer.

Using our team's experience in building NASA-award winning software and big data services, we are building the EarthCache™ platform, a simple way to discover and access the world’s remote sensing data. We are making it easy for organizations and application developers to manage the world’s crops, predict the markets, monitor infrastructure, harness energy, track ships and planes, measure global warming, among other game-changing applications. We do the hard data work behind the scenes allowing developers to build these new applications that quite literally will change our world.

We are looking for a high-performing, results-driven, Account Executive to actively grow the usage of our ground-breaking Earth observation data platform. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer you will engage directly with our customers to boost company top-line revenue growth and profitability.

In addition to consistently surpassing sales targets you will establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships beyond the point of initial sale to contribute to a market-leading customer service experience for our clients.

Working closely with Technical Customer Support you will take personal responsibility to increase revenue by helping customers maximize the use of our platform.  You will build close and personal relationships with your Accounts, becoming the focal point for their contact with our Company, and ensuring their experience is first-class.  This will involve understanding your Accounts business needs, and presenting, promoting and selling our Platform’s benefits using solid business acumen. Included in this you will be expected to perform cost-benefit, ROI and needs analysis and work closely with Product Management to develop a compelling proposition for any new requirements you uncover.


  • Present, promote and sell SkyWatch’s platform and services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers

  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of customer’s requirements to feed into the Product Management process.

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships

  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction

  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule

  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments

  • Analyze your Accounts’ potential, track sales and produce accurate forecasting and reports

  • Supply Product Management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends



  • You are highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales

  • You have a strong appreciation for Value Selling Sales principles

  • You possess excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills

  • You have the ability to build productive business professional relationships and openness to feedback

  • You are an expert user in MS Office, or equivalent (e.g. Google Suite Applications)

  • You are numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets

  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs

  • You are an independent worker with strong time management and organizational skills

  • You are familiar with BRM and CRM practices

  • You have a good understanding of the SaaS and DaaS service models

  • You have industry knowledge of remote sensing a distinct advantage (BONUS)

  • You’re open to traveling internationally
