Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced full stack developer who is highly skilled in JavaScript to focus on Insticator’s advertisement system. You will be more specifically part of the team that is helping scale Insticator’s monetization platform.  Working in all aspects of the agile development lifecycle, you will be contributing to the teams success by architecting, creating and delivering new features and functionality in order to deliver the best possible advertising experience in the market.

Challenges and Opportunities for the position

Serving billions of impressions per month on a variety of websites with different audiences, we collect data from our publisher embed technology and use this data to serve better advertisements for our publishers.  We are currently working with 2000+ sites with different configurations, so we provide a single solution that allows us to create unique customizations, allowing us to tailor solutions per site. An end user will have a great experience no matter the client they use, as we support both desktop and mobile clients and support a large range of browsing technologies.  Our ad serving technology is constantly evolving, as we enhance existing features, add new features, optimize performance and test new ideas.

Responsibilities and Duties.

  • Working on existing advertising management system (Web app with Java backend) and the ad server container builds on top of Prebid.js with Vanilla Javascript.

  • Integrate new bidder adapters from various SSPs we are testing with, and integrate with the reporting API into the revenue management system.

  • Using Google Ad Manager API and other API from SSPs to streamline the process with automation.

  • Working with video ads using SpringServe, JWPlayer, etc.

  • Work on the internal analytics adapter to collect data for analysis purposes.

  • Explore Mobile in-app solution.

  • Working on the integration between the Insticator DMP with SSPs to set up PMP and direct deals with higher CPM.

  • Research and build the next generate of the advertising management system.

  • Working with our Ad Operations (Ad ops) team to solve issues with client integration and edge cases.

  • Create tools and reports to provide better transparency across teams and identify issues from the reporting.

  • Collaborate with other component teams within engineering, product, ad ops, and account management teams for all kinds of challenges relevant to advertising.

Qualifications: Professional competencies

  • 5+ years of experience in building web applications using JavaScript.

  • 2+ year of experience with Prebid.js

  • Highly skilled with vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

  • Familiar using iframe, DOM, window, listener, ajax, JSONP, etc.

  • Experience with cookie, local storage, http headers.

  • Strong advertising industry knowledge regarding display ad, video ad, mobile ad, header bidding

  • Experience with Google DFP(Ad Manager) or other ad servers

  • Experience in Java is a plus

  • Experience in TypeScript is a plus

  • Experience with React and Redux is a plus

  • Experience with AWS CloudFront, S3 is a plus

  • Experience with agile methodologies and worked within an engineering team to ensure business goals are achieved in tight deadlines.

  • A mentality of striving to achieve releases early and adding additional functionality to the releases or pushing code early.
