The Role

We’re looking for Content Manager to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario. Working very closely with Acerta teams, the successful candidate will be a storyteller at heart who has a deep understanding of our audiences and can craft engaging content, including marketing materials, email campaigns, user stories, blog posts, press releases, thought leadership content, and more.   • Develop and execute a content marketing plan/calendar, owning the creation and distribution of compelling content that supports Acerta's communication strategies and programs across all channels.

  • Initiate, source, write, and edit original content for user stories, blog posts, ebooks, web, email campaigns, newsletters, social media posts, contributed articles, press releases, advertisements, video scripts, presentations, and more.

  • Refine the brand voice and ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and social promotion

  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of website content and support the online customer experience.

  • Support the content management of our social media presence and relationships, as well as helping the coordination and tracking of social media campaigns and keywords.

  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external subject matter experts, vendors, and partners, identifying key influencers and bloggers.

  • Support internal and investor communications and events.

  • Support all Customer facing teams with collateral and other documentation.

  • Help our customers to succeed and then tell their stories.


  • You have 3+ years of professional writing experience in marketing, communications, PR, journalism, copywriting, content marketing, or a related field.

  • You have a university degree, preferably in communications, PR, journalism or marketing.

  • You have experience working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and are a master at multitasking with strong time-and project-management skills.

  • You are experienced in interviewing subject matter experts and can demonstrate your ability to initiate, investigate and write strong, compelling, easy to read and creative copy to concisely communicate complex ideas and technical concepts.

  • You have meticulous proofreading and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • You understand and have experience with social media and content marketing best practices.

  • You are comfortable with HubSpot, HTML, and web content management systems.

  • You are energetic, highly motivated, and organized.

  • You can work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • You have a positive attitude, are friendly, and work well under pressure and deadlines.
