Responsible to the Technical Infrastructure Manager for the development, deployment, maintenance and support of secure cloud and on-premise server/storage infrastructure and enterprise services enabling a highly reliable and appropriately responsive corporate computer environment.
Resolve incidents and problems relating to cloud, server/storage infrastructure and enterprise applications in a responsive fashion.
Research, recommend, design, implement and support secure agile solutions based on best practices to cloud, server/storage infrastructure, and enterprise applications ensuring quality delivery of services.
Provide management information relating to cloud/on-prem server and storage infrastructure usage, reliability, availability, performance, capacity and security.
Provide technical architecture input, research and recommendations on emerging and future cloud, application and infrastructure direction.
Develop and implement policies, procedures and associated training for establishing quality delivery of services.
Provide off-hour support for the server/storage infrastructure as required.
Other duties as assigned by the Technical Infrastructure Manager.
College / University diploma or degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years senior level proficiency in the development, management, maintenance and support of server/storage hardware/firmware (HPe chassis/blades/interconnects, Netapp, Purestorage, and Brocade SANs).
Minimum 5 years proven confidence with operating systems and their supporting applications (Vmware virtualization, OnTap, Redhat Linux, Ansible, Microsoft Windows, PowerShell, Commvault, ServiceNow, and SIEM).
Proven experience with cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure), Microsoft Active Directory, and O365 and related technologies.
Working knowledge and experience with ITIL processes (incident/problem/change/release/configuration). Proven problem-solving and documentation skills.
Excellent customer service skills, self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
Effective priority management skills with the ability to work well in a high-pressure, team or independent setting.
Ability to translate complex technical terminology into a user friendly, concise and understandable format.
Ability and availability to provide extended hours and off-hour support.
