VP, Marketing

We are looking for a VP of Marketing to join our team and help us in our mission to create the most exceptional phone service that changes the way people communicate.

Reporting to the COO, you will play a pivotal role on our senior leadership team, responsible for performance, product marketing, communications and PR. You will work cross functionally to drive our marketing strategy, set growth targets, optimize acquisition efforts, and evaluate campaigns. You will be accountable for mentoring and coaching an effective communications and PR team. Your expertise will be critical in scaling TextNow beyond $50M in revenue.

 

What you will do:

  • Lead, build and develop the product, communications and performance marketing teams
  • Develop and implement an integrated marketing plan to increase both the company’s and the brand’s leadership in the market
  • Define and own the marketing strategic planning including market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans, and related product positioning
  • Own the conversation and credibly tell our story. Understand the market trends and competitive landscape in the market and develop competitive positioning while establishing rapport with media and industry analysts
  • Bring creative ideas to the table and innovate other scalable approaches to driving revenue growth
  • Ownership of AARRR (acquisition, activation, retention, revenue and referral)
  • Ability to grow our DAU base
  • Impact with partnering internally on our strategy to increase ARPDAU
  • Influence with driving app engagement
  • Team engagement and performance
  • Extensive experience working on mobile marketing initiatives and customer funnel optimization is required

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in an executive/management marketing role in a B2C setting
  • Successful track record of hiring, managing and developing a marketing team that includes product, performance and communications and PR
  • Extensive experience working on mobile marketing initiatives and customer funnel optimization is required
  • Highly analytical orientation with relentless focus on driving and improving results.
  • Experience managing a budget and deploying funds to highest-performing channels.
  • Independent, strategic thinker with operational experience and a solutions-orientation.
